Born into a family of musicians in Paris, Jeanne Zaepffel began studying the piano at an early age and, at eleven, entered the Maîtrise de Paris of the Regional Conservatory of Paris (CRR) under the direction of Patrick Marco.

In 2010, British director Peter Brook cast her as Pamina in The Magic Flute, in a production shown at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord and elsewhere in Europe (Barbican Center, London, Piccolo Teatro, Milan), as well as at Lincoln Center in NY.

With an undergraduate degree in literature and Theater Studies from the University of Paris (Sorbonne Nouvelle) and an M.A. in Music, she is now completing a PhD, while also pursuing her study of operatic and Baroque singing at the Paris CRR. She will have her début at the Reims Opera in 2020.
